Important Deadlines:

• First day to apply for a ballot by mail: Thursday, January 1

Applications are not automatically sent – you must request one from the Montgomery County Elections Office at (936) 539-7843 or download one from the Montgomery County Elections.

The application must be submitted by one of the following methods: 

— In Person - The application must be submitted by the applicant. Another person may not deliver your application for you.;

― Regular Mail;

― Common or Contract Carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc);

― Fax* – to 936-788-8340; or

― Email* – to election.ballot@mctx.org

• Last day to register to vote: Monday, February 2

• Last day for Elections Department to receive mail ballot application: Friday, February 20

• Last day for Elections Department to receive mail ballot:

— Tuesday, March 3, 7 pm if not postmarked

— Wednesday, March 4, 5 pm if postmarked locally

• Runoff Elections (if needed): May 26
